Basically, in eco mode you have to depress completly the pedal for the gearbox to "kickdown", while in power mode, you will probably have to simply depress at a third of it, with normal being between these 2 extremes. nothing like IRL (IRL, on integrated powertrain such as Volvo engine with the i-shift gearbox, it also change the power produced

In reality no one manually shifts all the way through an automated transmission like you're doing. In the game you are really expected to, either. There's not really any solution I'm aware of for what your dealing with. I'd suggest using one of the automatic modes and live with the occasional funky shift strategy.

So, I find the function called "Gearbox Switch Automatic/Sequential", and i came here to ask if someone know how to make this works correct, cause I want to use 'cause ETS2 gears have some trouble when changing or using retarder. Automatic/sequential is an A/B toggle setting you can assign to a key which switches your automatic transmission
Step 1: The first time you load into the game every time the gearbox is going to be set to low range and the splitter will be in low. So if you put it into whatever gear position is gear 1 it will be gear 1L (depending on transmission of course). Step 2: Press your clutch in and put your shifter where first gear is.
So I had a dive into the settings and a lot of things changed, including one odd option called 'Adaptive Automatic Transmission' which I didn't expect. Even better, ticking that option revealed another option which had me choose the behavior of the 'Adaptive-ness'. This changed everything.
