Hi. I have been playing ETS2 for a while with a Logitech G920 and shifter. I have been using manual transmission. My question is, what is a retarder, how do I use it and do I have to use it. I know its about slowing down or something but I already use the engine braking. What do you guys recommend The air brake pressure is you service brakes. Every truck now has a gauge that shows air pressure, when you use too much of the service brakes it runs out of pressure and you need to wait until it builds up again. To avoid this you should rely more on the engine brakes and/or the retarder to reduce your speed.

The first can be dealt with by tuning it of and checking in the Gameplay Options if Auto retarder/Engine brake is not ticked. The second is not chsngeable as that is the normal behaviour of every vehicle. I checked and they are not ticked. And it's not the second option you said, because the truck is going braked, it slows down very quickly
